As well as the Christmas carol world record attempt, St Paul's Cathedral, Oxford Street and Regent Street will be lit up in a coordinated effort to celebrate the start of the festive season and the world premiere of the new Disney animated blockbuster, A Christmas Carol. Stars of the film will be out in force to entertain the crowds, with Bob Hoskins leading the singalong at St Paul's Cathedral, Jim Carrey switching on the Oxford Street Christmas lights, and Colin Firth and Robin Wright Penn turning on the illuminated decorations on Regent Street.
