Head to the switching on of the Christmas lights at Old Spitalfields Market and kickstart the festive season in grand style.

Live music
Taking place at the Victorian market hall, the switching on of the 2011 Christmas lights at Old Spitalfields Market sees much music and merriment from a host of special guests. Running alongside the switching on ceremony will be Christian Aid's Big Christmas Sing, a free concert hosted by Suggs from Madness.

There's nothing quite like the sight of some festive lights and decorations to inspire a tingle of excitement that Christmas is well on its way, and the Christmas lights at Old Spitalfields Market aim to fill you with the spirit of the season in no time.
