Robyn Hood
Promising more cheap thrills and anarchic humour than you can shake a stick at, the Christmas panto at RVT includes the combined talents of Jonny Woo, Holestar, Myra Dubois, Timberlina and Miss Annabel Sings. The pantomime also features the voice of Scottee, making the production a veritable who's who of alternative gay cabaret talent.
Alternative panto
If the usual pantomime fare of cross dressing Prince Charmings, dames in drag and be-twinkled fairy godmothers just isn't camp enough for you, the Christmas panto at RVT aims to crank it up a notch or two for a show laden with innuendo, double entendres and out and out bawdiness. Expect a unique take on the old English tale of Robin Hood and his Merry Men as the Royal Vauxhall Tavern gives its own very special - and adult - spin on a festive tradition.
Festive fun
Featuring characters such as the Sheriff of Wapping and the dubious Swedish pop star Robyn, the Christmas panto at RVT promises plenty of in the way of tongue in cheek humour, extravagant costumes and gender bending performance on stage. As always, audience participation is actively encouraged, so get ready to boo the baddies, cheer the goodies and scream 'it's behind you!' in all the right places.
The Christmas panto at RVT takes place from Wednesday 28th December - Friday 30th December 2011, with a preview taking place on Wednesday 7th December. The show starts at 8.30pm on 7th December, and at 7pm and 10.30pm 28th December - 29th December.
