Celebrate the festive season with a special exhibition that tells the story of Christmas Past at Geffrye Museum. Looking back over the last 400 years of different seasonal traditions in the English home, Christmas Past sees all the different periods from 1600 upwards.

Traditional Christmas
In this fascination exhibition you can find out where many of our current traditions come from and see how they have developed over the years. Eleven rooms are all kitted out for a seasonal treat, with all kinds of delightful details that will make for a very special visit back into Christmas Past.

Geffrye Museum special events

Christmas Past at Geffrye Museum runs from Tuesday 29th November 2011 - Sunday 8th January 2012. Admission is free. Please note that the museum is closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
