When
Sun 16th November to Sun 28th December 2008
Where
Fortnum and Mason
Children and adults are invited to enjoy Christmas storytelling at Fortnum and Mason in December 2008, in a customary yuletide tradition. Visit one of the oldest and grandest stores in London for storytelling in the drawing room of the St. James Restaurant, which will be decorated with huge reindeer and lots of snow and Christmas trees.
Stories for the Christmas season
The special storytelling area at Fortnum and Mason will provide a magical setting for children to listen to the Hans Christian Andersen fable of The Snow Queen. A skilled Fortnum and Mason storyteller will sit on a throne and narrate the classic tale, so kids can settle down for thirty minutes of fantastic entertainment.
Christmas storytelling and treats
Each child will receive a goody bag as a special memento of their time in Fortnum and Mason. When children have rejoined their parents and guardians after the storytelling, families might choose to take afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason, a relaxing end to an afternoon of traditional seasonal entertainment in London.
