Christmas Tree Recycling

When

January 2011

Where

Various London councils

London produces more rubbish at Christmas than during any other time of the year, but Christmas tree recycling is an eco friendly, convenient way of getting rid of your real Christmas tree and doing your bit for the environment. A number of London councils provide special tree recycling services at this time of year.

See below for a round up of Christmas tree recycling services for the 2010 – 2011 Christmas season in London and dispose of your Christmas tree with minimal fuss this New Year. Just don’t forget to take off the tinsel first.

Lambeth
Lambeth is operating a free Christmas tree recycling service in the New Year. The council is collecting Christmas trees free of charge from kerbside properties. All you need to do is leave your tree next to your refuse bin on the normal collection day. This will take place in the week commencing Monday 10th January 2011. Drop off locations are accepting real Christmas trees too so if you don't live in a kerbside or Lambeth Living property then you can just leave your tree at any one of the following locations from Monday 10th January – Friday 14th January 2011.

Clapham Common, SW4
Kennington Park, SE11
Streatham Common, SW16
Lambeth Reuse and Recycling Centre, SE27
