Christmas Forest
The Christmas Forest is one of the best ethical ways to buy your tree for the festive season as every one that is bought sees another tree planted in Ethiopia. All trees come from sustainable sources and most are farmed in the UK to mimimise tree miles. Available at seven sites across London, you can get a beautiful tree and support the Tree Aid charity at the same time.

For real Christmas trees, London doesn't offer much better than Pines and Needles where discount prices and a variety of locations make buying easy. Their range includes traditional Norway spruces and nondrop Nordmann firs, and they also have a selection of potted trees with roots. Pines and Needles are selling Christmas trees from The Woodman in Highgate from 17th November - 18th November and 19th November - 24th December 2012. Opening hours are 11.30am - 8.30pm.

This popular garden centre is also stocking a variety of cut and potted trees in the run up to Christmas, including the traditional Norway Spruce and Noble Fir.
