North London:

Christmas Forest
The Christmas Forest is one of the best ethical ways to buy your tree for the festive season as every one that is bought sees another tree planted in Ethiopia. All trees come from sustainable sources and most are farmed in the UK to mimimise tree miles. Available at seven sites across London, you can get a beautiful tree and support the Tree Aid charity at the same time.

The Alwyne, Islington
8am - 10pm, 29th November - 24th December

St Pauls Church, Amhurst Road, Stoke Newington
8am - 10pm, 1st December - 24th Deccember

Pines and Needles
For real Christmas trees, London doesn't offer much better than Pines and Needles where discount prices and a variety of locations make buying easy. Their range includes traditional Norway spruces and nondrop Nordmann firs, and they also have a selection of potted trees with roots. Pines and Needles are selling Christmas trees from The Woodman in Highgate from 19th November - 20th November and 26th November - 24th December 2011. Opening hours are 9am - 8pm Sunday and 8am - 9pm Monday - Saturday.

Camden Garden Centre
This popular garden centre is also stocking a variety of cut and potted trees in the run up to Christmas, including the traditional Norway Spruce and Noble Fir.

East London:

Pines and Needles are selling Christmas trees from the following locations in east London this Christmas:

St Ely's Yard car park, Brick Lane
19th November - 23rd December 2011. 10am - 8pm Monday - Wednesday, 9am - 8pm Thursday - Sunday.

Greenwich Park, Charlton Way entrance
Open 9am - 7pm, 19th November - 20th November, 26th November - 27th November, and 1st December - 24th December 2011.

Fulham Palace Garden Centre
Stop by the Fulham Palace Garden Centre for a great range of real Christmas trees. They also sell artificial trees, decorations and plants that make perfect gifts for your Christmas hosts.

London Wetland Centre
This year, the London Wetland Centre is selling Christmas trees through Christmas Fir, who get all their trees from sustainable forests. The trees will be up for sale three weeks before Christmas.
