Come and play
Taking up the Selfridges Christmas 2010 theme of play with much gusto, the Christmas windows at Selfridges promise plenty of colour and fun. Loosely based on the concept of a dolls' house, the Christmas window displays also toy with contrasts in scale and dimensions, as the big and small and 2D and 3D are juxtaposed for dramatic effect.

Oxford Street
The series of Christmas windows at Selfridges that look out on the Oxford Street side of the building are hosting a selection of imaginative Christmas tableaus. Look out for the Sylvanian Families celebrating Christmas in a trailer park, and a life size Barbie and Ken relaxing in their kitsch living room.

Orchard Street
Meanwhile, the Orchard Street Christmas windows at Selfridges feature colourful designs by cult artist Pete Fowler, which give a contemporary twist to the family Christmas. Keep an eye out for the PR queen mum, the brainbox daughter, the Shoreditch trendy dad and their family pet.

Displays in the store
Meanwhile, inside Selfridges the play theme continues with giant disco balls and a series of grown up toys in the Wonder Room. Let your inner child run free with a Barbie football table, a giant leather Hermes bag, a giant robot with a heart of yellow and black diamonds, Play-Doh and an all leather skateboard. And of course, there's also the Santa's Grotto for kids and a range of hampers and stylish gifts to shop for.
