Coutts London Jewellery Week celebrates the best in bling this summer as emerging jewellery designers, established traders and industry specialists come together for shows, exhibitions and the chance to see some of the designers at work.
London houses some of the best jewellery designers in the world, with jewellers in Hatton Garden, Knightsbridge and Bond Street being renowned for their stunning diamonds and presitigious collections. During Coutts London Jewellery Week you can see the best of the best in the jewellery world.
Catwalk shows, exhibitions, parties, treasure hunts and open house events are all part of the celebrations, and jewellery loving Londoners will be able to see the cutting edge talent of designers in the city as well as the passion and inspiration that goes into the jewellery in London. Bringing together diamond lovers, gemstone setters and cutters and jewellery designers from all levels, the week is set to reflect the allure and diversity of London jewellery.
London itself will be bejewelled for the week as the London Eye is turned into a giant diamond ring, and a jewel enrcusted carpet will run along the Burlington Arcade. The Tower of London, home to the most famous jewels in the city is hosting 60 of the designers taking part in what will be a sparkling exhibition. And many bars, restaurants and hotels will be taking part with special Coutts London Jewellery Week themed packages.
Over 200 jewellers are set to take part in the jewellery week, ranging from the big names like Boodles, Theo Fennell, Stephen Webster and Shane Leane as well as smaller, up and coming designers such as Hannah Martin.
Coutts are the sponsors of the week long bling fest as they have spent the last three years supporting some of the best of British design in general. Two of their cards have been redesigned by the likes of Stella McCartney and Oswald Boateng, and Coutts also sponsored an Alice Temperly fashion show and the Matthew Williamson exhibition at the Design Museum, Ten Years in Fashion.
Locals and visitors alike will be able to see some real sparklers as designers show off their work in a variety of events. Open house events mean that you can go behind the scenes at various jewellery designers and sellers to see how they go about creating their stunning pieces of work.
Gemstone fans and gold and silver lovers will be able to see both the best of traditional and contemporary designs as the week continues with speciality catwalk shows and exhibitions by various jewellery houses. Gaze at the sparklers, pick out some of your dream pieces and admire the handiwork of the exhibitors - Coutts London Jewellery Week is one time to get yourself a little slice of bling heaven.
