Lights installation at Covent Garden
Once again the Covent Garden Christmas lights will transform the area around the Covent Garden Piazza and Market Building with a stunning installation from the United Visual Artists. Covent Garden is famed for its festive lighting extravaganzas and past achievements from the United Visual Artists have included a series of giant chandeliers, which were as far away from traditional Christmas lights as you could possibly expect. This year, the festive light display is just one of the eye-catching elements of the Covent Garden Christmas fun.

Switching on event
The lights are being turned on for the festive season with great fanfare, in a switching on ceremony that includes live entertainment and festive fun galore. The crowds will be treated to a fantastic light display right in the heart of Covent Garden, with stunning decorations included 150,000 sparkling pealights, and a new arrival for 2014 - a giant 22 feet tall silver reindeer.

Song and dance in the piazza
Covent Garden Piazza and the surrounding Covent Garden area is centre stage once again for a number of live performances and events throughout the festive period. Alongside the Christmas lights, Covent Garden is showcasing various different live entertainment and cultural shows that are set to wow Londoners of all ages. So visitors really can expect some serious festive fun in the heart of Covent Garden.
