Join the crowds for the Crisis Square Mile Run
Somewhere in the region of 2,000 runners are expected to take part in the Crisis Square Mile Run, which weaves a 6km route through central London. The route includes a selection of iconic London locations including the Globe Theatre, Tate Modern and the Tower of London, promising a memorable experience for participants.
Brand new event
The charity race is celebrating its 20th birthday in 2012, and this year the event is once again preceded by a relay race. The Crisis Square Mile Run Relay is open to teams of four people, so grab your friends and colleagues and get training so you can complete one lap of the 3km course. In both the relay and the main event the day after, Londoners can run to win whilst supporting a worthy cause.
Make a night of it after the run
After you finish the run at the Millennium Bridge a well earned rest will definitely be in order, although if you have any energy left you can spend it celebrating with all the other runners within the lively, upbeat atmosphere. Crisis is appealing to all the competitors taking part to raise as much as they can in sponsorship, which will go towards vital projects for the homeless in the UK.
Show some support on the day
Spectators are welcome to cheer on the runners along the race route. Get out there in the name of Crisis and show some support for a good cause if you aren’t already taking part in the main event.
The Crisis Square Mile Run takes place on Thursday 14th June 2012, with the relay taking place the day before on Wednesday 13th June. The races begin at Paternoster Square, St Paul’s. The races are open to anyone aged 18 and over.
Registration opens in March 2012. For further information and to register a place, click on the link below.
