An unusual ice sculpture takes centre stage as a Cube in a cube at Potters Fields celebrates the launch of the brand new Nissan Cube car. Frozen within a giant ice cube, the Cube car will melt over the course of three days to gradually be revealed from inside its chilly setting.

Cube in a cube
Potters Fields has been home to many exiciting and unusual events over the past couple of years, having played host to a giant rugby ball, a fantastic roller disco and more recently a celebration of Russian culture welcoming in spring. And now, just as the snow is set to return to the UK, the icy Cube in a cube at Potters Fields is taking up residence.

Hands on features
Sure to attract plenty of attention from passersby, the Cube in a cube at Potters Fields is one of the most unusual winter sculptures to be seen around London at the moment. Featuring a full size Cube car frozen inside a giant ice cube, this is certainly one of the most impressive ice cubes you'll ever see. Complete with interactive sensors that light up various parts of the ice cube and car from the inside, this is your chance to get hands on and explore the icy world of the Cube in a cube.

Tattoo art
As if a car trapped in a giant block of ice wasn't interesting enough, the Cube in a cube at Potters Fields will also feature a unique tattoo designs inscribed on the side. Created by celebrity tattooist Henry Hate who has designed tattoos for the likes of Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty, the ice tattoo is etched onto the ice cube with a special set of Japanese samuarai chisels. Playing a vital part in the look of the Cube in a cube, Potters Fields may well recieve a visit from some of Henry Hate's previous clients as they take a look at his handiwork on the ice.

The Cube in a cube at Potters Fields Park takes place from 9am on Tuesday 9th February - Thursday 11th February 2010.
