A rare Dali exhibition London event takes place at the Modern Masters Gallery this
winter as work by the Surrealist Spaniard goes on show in Cork Street. Unseen Dali:
Drawings, Paintings and Sculptures includes more than 40 different pieces of art, along
with some that have never before been seen in the UK.
Dali exhibition
London is awash with modern art shows at the minute, but that shouldn't stop you from
heading down Cork Street with a view to seeing some astonishing artworks by the
Godfather of Surrealism himself. Taken from private collections, much of the art
included in the Dali exhibition is rarely seen in public, and for any fan of Salvador Dali
is a must see.
Significant sculpture
Featuring some of the most significant pieces of sculpture created by Dali during the
1960s, the Dali Unseen exhibition includes work such as a recreation of the iconic
Lobster Telephone from 1936, and the striking Buste de Femme Retrospectiff. The
bust evokes the first sculpture from the 1930s and is made from bread, painted ants,
inkwells and corn, all decorating a milliners bust. Shown alongside several other lesser
known gems, the Dali exhibition is a one off homage to one of the most controversial
artists of the 20th century.
Friend of the artist
One of the people behind the Dali exhibition London event is enrique Sabater y
Bonany, who was the personal secretary and confidante of Salvador Dali from 1968 -
1981. He has curated the exhibition along with Beniamino Lavi, who is President of the
Stratton Foundation for Cultural Arts, and is an avid collector and expert on Dali's art.
With such expert knowledge backing the exhibition, fans of the Surrealist's work are
guaranteed to be in for a treat with this show.
