Galleries across London

Art lovers wanting to attend a Damien Hirst exhibition London event in late 2009 are in for a real treat, as the leading star of the Britart movement has a number of special shows taking place around town. From a paintings exhibition in the opulent surrounds of the Wallace Collection to a new show at White Cube and limited edition prints for sale at Other Criteria, see below for more information on what there is to see.

No Love Lost at Wallace Collection
Stepping away from the installations featuring animals preserved in formaldehyde, the Damien Hirst exhibition London event at the Wallace Collection features a series of paintings by the famous artist. Collectively known as The Blue Paintings, the works of art in the No Love Lost exhibition make the most of the ornate architecture and design of the gallery space and play with the tradition of memento mori, or reminders of death, with images of skulls and flowers. Special menu
There's also the chance to enjoy a private viewing of No Love Lost and feast on French food at the Wallace Collection with the special viewing and dining deal. Nothing Matters at White Cube
Arriving later on in the autumn, the Damien Hirst exhibition London event at White Cube is titled Nothing Matters, and follows the Beyond Belief show of 2007 at the same venue. Beyond Belief featured the now infamous platinum and diamond encrusted skull, and Nothing Matters is bound to attract a similar level of public scrutiny and interest. Pop Life at Tate Modern
Although the Pop Life exhibition at Tate Modern is not dedicated exclusively to Damien Hirst, there's still plenty of the artist's work to see at the show that looks at the close relationship between contemporary art and commerce. Pieces by Hirst that featured in his recent Sotheby's auction sit alongside work by Andy Warhol, Tracey Emin and Jeff Koons. The Dead at Other Criteria
While the other Damien Hirst exhibition London events give you the chance to see the diverse work of the British artist, it's not often that you have the chance to take any of the pieces home with you. The Dead show at Other Criteria presents a series of limited edition prints of skulls by Hirst, available to buy for the princely sum of £3450 each. The Damien Hirst exhibition London events run throughout autumn and winter 2009.
