From African street dance to world premieres, the Dance Umbrella at Gate Theatre celebrates the diversity and energy of contemporary dance as part of the London-wide festival.

The Difference Engine
Performances taking place as part of the Dance Umbrella at Gate Theatre season include the world premiere of The Difference Engine. Combining dance, live and electronic music, video and theatre, the dance show takes its inspiration from Chris Marker's 1962 short film La Jetee.

The Difference Engine performances run from 7.30pm, 12th October - 22nd October 2011. Full price tickets cost £17.00.

Logobi 05
Another highlight of the Dance Umbrella at Gate Theatre programme is Logobi 05, which fuses African street dance with contemporary European dance. Following sell-out performances in Germany, the production makes its UK debut at the acclaimed Notting Hill venue.

Logobi 05 runs from 7.30pm, 24th October - 28th October 2011. Full price tickets cost £17.00.
