Contemporary dance
Highlights of the Dance Umbrella at Southbank Centre season include two special performances choreographed by Karole Armitage, which includes the world premiere of Two Theories. There's also the revival of the groundbreaking 1981 classic Drastic-Classicism, which features classical dance set to punk rock played by five guitarists placed among the dancers.

Candoco Dance Company
Other events taking place during the Dance Umbrella at Southbank Centre festival include performances by the Candoco Dance Company, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary. There's also superhero antics from Matthias Sperling and Rachel Krische, as well as short film screenings.
