With author talks, giveaways and a special quiz, Dickens Day at Foyles celebrates the bicentenary of the famous author's birth in grand literary style.

Famous writers
The result of a collaboration between Vintage Classics and Ebury Publishing, Dickens Day at Foyles features appearances from an array of high profile writers and historians, including Deborah Moggach, David Kynaston, Sarah Wise and Alex Werner. The screenwriter Sarah Phelps, who wrote the recent BBC adaptation of Great Expectations, will also be giving a talk at the event.

Dickens' legacy
Also making an appearance at Dickens Day at Foyles will be the famous children's author Michael Rosen. The speakers at the event will be discussing their love of Dickens' writing, his depiction of London in the 19th century and the popularity that the author continues to enjoy today.

Special quiz
Ticket holders for the event will be given a goody bag which includes a free Vintage Classics book as a memento of their day. Other highlights of Dickens Day at Foyles include a Dickens themed quiz hosted by Christopher Winn, the author of the popular I Never Knew That About... series.
