The Doctor Who Experience London events lands at Olympia in 2011 and invites Doctor Who fans to get up close and personal with monsters, spaceships and even the Doctor himself. Step through the crack in time and head off on a journey through time and space as you become the new companion for the space traveling Timelord.
Doctor Who Experience
London has been visited by the Doctor and his alien friends quite a lot recently, what with the Doctor Who Prom over the summer and the Doctor Who Live show in October 2010. Now you can experience the world of the Doctor in person, with this fully interactive walk through exhibition, which combines TV footage, exhibits from the series and recreated sets.
Travel through time
Charting the history of the hit series from the early days back in 1963 to the current incumbant, Matt Smith, the Doctor Who Experience is the perfect day out for any serious Doctor Who fan. Including a sequence of specially filmed clips featuring the current Doctor, the exhibition also highlights props and costumes from the many different shows.
TARDIS
No doubt some of the highlights of the experience will include the recreations of the TARDIS sets and the blue police box which was used in the Tom Baker era. Two authentic TARDIS sets from the days of Peter Davidson and David Tennant are also on show at the Doctor Who Experience London show, giving you the chance to get up close with all the buttons, pulleys, levers, flashing lights and best of all, the bit in the middle that goes up and down and makes the iconic TARDIS noise.
Monsters and more
More classic sets from the recent series are also included in the Doctor Who exhibition, alongside numerous aliens and monsters. Take a peek inside the Pandorica Box before coming into contact with the metal-bodied Cybermen and several different types of Dalek. Also setting out to frighten visitors are the Silurians, an Ice Warrior and a Zygon, making this a must-see show for any true Doctor Who addict, young or old.
Out of this world
Transforming a simple Doctor Who exhibition into an interactive adventure, the Doctor Who Experience gives you the chance to become the new assistant to the Doctor, and attempt to reunite him with his spacecraft. Bringing together specially filmed clips featuring Matt Smith, a series of amazing special effects and a truly awesome 3D finale, you will feel as though you've just starred in your very own episode of the internationally renowned series.
