Bound to send many a Doctor Who fan into paroxysms of delight, the Doctor Who Live London show at Wembley Arena kicks off a nine city, 25 date tour.
Monsters galore
Certain to be a hit with fans of the long running and much loved television programme, the Doctor Who Live London stage show features a spine tingling line up of instantly recognisable monsters and aliens from the BBC series. The show makes its debut at Wembley Arena before going on tour to Sheffield, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Cardiff, Liverpool and Belfast.
Daleks at Wembley
For many fans both young and old, one of the highlights of the Doctor Who Live London show is bound to be the appearance of The Doctor's arch enemies the Daleks. As always, the machine encased aliens will be hell bent on exterminating all non-Dalek life forms, and the sight of their iconic shapes gliding across the stage is bound to be a memorable experience for the audience.
Doctor Who Live
State of the art show
Featuring specially filmed video scenes, optical illusions, pyrotechnics and special effects galore, the Doctor Who Live London event aims to bring the same drama and strong storytelling that fans have come to expect from the TV show to a live stage show. The show opens in wartime London and ends with a spectacular battle, and includes specially edited video clips featuring the new Doctor, Matt Smith.
Steven Moffat
The arena show has been developed in collaboration with Doctor Who executive producer Steven Moffat, the writer responsible for some of the most memorable storylines and characters from the recent series. Some of Moffat's material will be making it onto the video scenes with Matt Smith, and one of his most terrifying creations, the Weeping Angels, are also appearing on stage.
Live music
As well as the iconic Daleks and Weeping Angels, other monsters and aliens appearing on stage include Cybermen, Judoon and Oods. The live action, special effects and video clips will be accompanied by music from Doctor Who composer Murray Gold, played by a 16 piece orchestra live on stage.
The Doctor Who Live London show takes place at Wembley Arena from Friday 8th October - Sunday 10th October 2010. Tickets cost £25.00 - £38.50 and go on sale from 9am, Friday 21st May 2010. To purchase tickets for this event, click on the Buy Tickets button.
