Dream Factory exhibition
From exclusive films to as yet unseen creative collaborations, there will be plenty of excitement surrounding the week long exhibition of art and installations. Whether you are a fan of graffiti art, fashion, guerilla gardening or independent cinema, there will be plenty on show to excite and inspire.
Cultural Engineers
Sponsored by Honda in their determination to make people believe in the power of dreams, the Dream Factory exhibition is all about getting together individuals and collectives who have the power to change their environment and make people think. Crammed with passionate, creative and entertaining artists, the exhibition is a melting pot of innovation, with everyone involved determined to make a difference.
Exhibition highlights
From games designer Paulina Bozek to Ben Ramsden and his poverty destroying pants, there is a wealth of unusual and groundbreaking art and ideas on show at the Dream Factory exhibition London event. Highlights include Richard Reynolds, the Guerilla Gardener who, along with his crew, plants seeds and reclaims land in unloved spots all over the city. Another collaborative to look out for is the Agents of Change, a group of grafiiti artists from around the globe who have recently created a Ghostvillage in an abandoned town in Scotland.
Dream Factory cinema
Several film installations and screenings are taking place during the course of the exhibition with contributions from a wide variety of artists and groups. Fans of film will be no stranger to the Secret Cinema and Future Shorts who will be in attendance at the Dream Factory exhibition along with the Flatpack Festival and Shooting People, the online film network organisation.
Workshops
For those inspired to get more creative by what they see at the Dream Factory exhibition, there are three workshops led by some of the Cultural Engineers to help you on your way. Kicking off on Monday 24th May, graffiti fans will be able to spend
time with Agents of Change at Platform London. Wednesday 26th May has two workshops for you to enjoy, with a session led by games designer Paulina Bozek at Platform London and one with social and environmental consultant John Grant at Dray Walk Gallery itself.
The Dream Factory exhibition London event takes place from Friday 21st May - Sunday 30th May 2010 at Dray Walk Gallery. Entrance is free. For more information or to book a place at one of the workshops, click on the link below.
