Celebrate the 16th birthday of a Royal Vauxhall Tavern institution at the Duckie birthday party. For one night only, the weekly club night is upping sticks and moving along the river for a birthday bash at the Royal Festival Hall.

With plenty of live entertainment, the Duckie birthday party promises to be a jolly old knees up in the spirit of the weekly night at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, which prides itself on providing progressive working class entertainment for the gay, straight and mixed crowd in Vauxhall. Head to the Clore Ballroom within the Royal Festival Hall for a night of music, live performances and raucous birthday celebrations.

Hosted by original Duckie crew member Amy Lamé, the Duckie birthday party features acts such as Miss High Leg Kick, Up N Over It, Bird la Bird and Scottee. George Chakravarthi, Mitch & Parry, Oompah Brass and Ryan Styles are also on the lineup.
Live entertainment
Visitors to the Duckie birthday party at Royal Festival Hall are encouraged to dress up as their favourite vintage British tribe, so expect to see plenty of mods, rockers, skinheads, suburban housewives, new romantics and city gents. As well as all the live performances on stage, there's the chance to dance the night away to the best pop records around courtesy of Readers Wifes, while looking forward to another 16 years of Duckie.
The Duckie birthday party runs from 9pm - 2am, Friday 26th August 2011. The event takes place at the Clore Ballroom at the Royal Festival Hall.
