Enjoy some vintage classics from the British film industry with the screenings of Ealing comedy films at Museum of London Docklands. Part of the London on Screen programme of events, the Ealing comedies are free to attend.
London on Screen
Taking place on the last Sunday of every month, the screenings of Ealing comedy films at Museum of London Docklands range from the much loved classic Passport to Pimlico, to the crime caper The Ladykillers. The screenings take place in the Wilberforce Theatre, and are free to attend.
Season highlights
Other highlights of the season of Ealing comedy films at Museum of London Docklands include the 1951 classic The Lavender Hill Mob, as well as Hue and Cry, which follows the story of a gang of street boys who attempt to thwart the plans of a master crook. As well as the Ealing Studios films from the 1940s and 1950s, the London on Screen season also includes the acclaimed 1981 movie Burning an Illusion, Menelik Shabazz's pioneering love story about a young black couple in London.
