Back once again with more stunning live music, Ealing Opera in the Park is part of the Ealing Summer Festival. Filling Walpole Park with one of the most famous operas in the world, you can enjoy an evening of amazing performances and an electric atmosphere with the Ealing Opera in the Park event.

Taking place over two nights in July, Ealing Opera in the Park brings the world of comic Italian opera to Walpole Park. The Barber of Seville is the opera of choice for 2008, and is a classic story of love and comedy mishaps that opera fans and novices alike will love.

Performed by Opera a la Carte, the Barber of Seville sees Count Almaviva attempt to win the heart of the beautiful Rossina with the help of the Barber himself, Figaro. With a set up that includes a chaotic mix of lies, deceit, disguise and confusion, the comical story is played out against a decadent 1920s background with a twist of tango and cultural conflict.

The Barber of Seville is sung in Italian and accompanied by Opera a la Carte's own tango band, with violin, clarinet, accordian, bassoon and piano.

Standard tickets for Ealing Opera in the Park are £20.00, and VIP tickets are £40.00. VIP tickets include premier seating, a free programme, drinks reception, access to the artist's bar, drinks and canapes in the interval.
