Celebrate the 2012 UEFA European Championship at the East in East Festival at Rich Mix, which features free screenings of all the football matches, plus live music and performances that showcase Eastern European culture. Football screenings Football fans will have plenty to keep them happy during the East in East Festival at Rich Mix, as all of the matches from Euro 2012 will be screened from Poland and Ukraine live on the giant, 15 x 10 foot screen. See how England fares under new manager Roy Hodgson in Group D and watch as defending champions Spain big for glory once again in Group C as part of a series of thrilling games. Live music Once the free football screenings finish, the party really gets underway with a series of live music and performances that showcase the talents of some of London's finest Eastern European artists. Musicians taking part in the East in East Festival at Rich Mix include the Warsaw Village Band, Amsterdam klezmer band Alec Kopyt, and the Szászcsávás Transylvanian Gypsy Band. Highlight performances Highlights of the East in East Festival include a night of street food, live samba and poetry courtesy of the London Liming Eastern European Special, plus a performance by the London Bulgarian Choir presented by Cerys Matthews. There's also a special performance by Radio Gagarin, featuring live music, DJ sets, live art, cinema, drama, puppetry and poetry. More special events Other events taking place as part of the East in East Festival at Rich Mix include DJ nights, album launches and spoken word mash-ups. There are also two photographic art exhibitions to explore, an array of Eastern European food and drink to try, plus a family cultural workshop with the Roma Support Group . The East in East Festival at Rich Mix takes place from Wednesday 6th June - Sunday 1st July 2012. Events start from 5pm on weekdays, and take place throughout the day at the weekend.
