Easter at Kew

Easter at Kew Gardens is a delightful time as all the bulbs are in bloom and spring is well and truly underway. There is plenty for kids to see and do, and little ones will be kept happy and entertained with all the activities throughout the Easter weekend.

On show throughout Easter the giant bunnies are back! Brought to the Kew by the Giant Rabbit Rescue Centre, this is the third year in a row that these furry giants have taken up residence. Weighing between 16 and 18 pounds each, they are very friendly and happy to be back for Easter 2008.

What with all the excitement of Easter eggs and a visit from the Easter Bunny, your kids will be more than happy to take up the challenge of the Childrens Spring Trail. Kids can follow the bulb trail which takes them to a number of stunning locations across the site, where there are questions for them to answer in order to win a prize. The Spring Trail is available from Friday 21st March to Sunday 20th April.

Easter Sunday itself is the day of the Easter egg hunt at Kew. Kicking off at 10am and finishing at 2pm, kids can collect tokens from the Kew Gardens chicks on the hunt and exchange them for some yummy chocolate from the Easter Bunny when they finish. The Easter egg hunt is free for kids once in the gardens.
