Easter at London Wetland Centre

Children visiting during Easter at London Wetland Centre will be able to take part in a series of special events all about ducks. Traditional spring activities will also be present and accounted for to get children outdoors and engaging with nature.

Easter at London Wetland Centre
Kids can take part in a series of duck related activities over the Easter at the London Wetland Centre, with staff on hand to explain how ducklings develop inside their eggs. Over the Easter holidays you can also see some of the newly hatched ducklings take their first swim in the paddling pool. There's also the chance to take part in a pond dipping session to discover more about the creatures swimming under the surface of the water.

Spring flowers and wildlife
Easter at London Wetland Centre is also one of the best times to see the wildlife as the increasing temperatures entice sand martins, little-ringed plovers and warblers to return to the UK to breed. Wildflowers such as the daffodil, cowslip and marsh marigold are in flower and slow worms and common lizards can be seen basking in quieter areas of the reserve.
