Edinburgh Film Festival Film Reviews

Bringing you the best of the Edinburgh Film Festival film reviews as they get their first UK screenings up north, this is the place to keep an eye on what's hot and what's a bit, well, not really up to scratch, from this year's festival.

Edinburgh Film Festival highlights
Alongside the premiere of Glaswegian end of the world drama Perfect Sense starring Ewan McGregor, film fans can also look forward to getting the lowdown on Kim Cattrall's new flick, where she stars as an old time stripper, Meet Monica Velour, and fascinating documentary Project Nim about a Columbia University professor's attempts to teach a chimp to speak.

Those with a passion for Irish drama will no doubt enjoy reading our review of The Guard, featuring Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle as an inspired police/FBI odd-couple on a drugs raid in West Coast Ireland, and anyone who thought that with the final Harry P and Twilight drama hitting our screens this year, the supernatural fun was all over, should think again as the Finnish filmmakers bring us Troll Hunter.
