The Esquire Magazine Cover Versions exhibition at The Hospital Club in May 2008 celebrates 75 years of the mens magazine and its iconic covers. With famous covers reinterpretted by some of today's leading photographers, the Esquire Magazine Cover Versions show is a fantastic tribute to one of the world's most famous men's journals.

Eleven leading fashion designers have created and reinterpretted their own version of an class Esquire cover to put on display in the Esquire Magazine Cover Versions. Combining the best of fashion and art, each of the images pays homage to the front covers of one of the most exciting periods of design for the magazine - the sixties.

During the sixies Esquire was under the artistic direction of legendary ad man George Lois, who pushed the magzine in a new direction and produced many iconic, original and controversial cover shots. Recpaturing that spirit of groundbreaking achievement and stylish design, the new images on show in the Esquire Magazine Cover Versions exhibition are the perfect tribute to this eternally suave journal.

The biggest names in fashion and photography have taken part in creating this exhibition, and with people like Andy Warhol, Muhammed Ali, Dustin Hoffman, John Galliano and Paul Smith on the covers, and Alice Hawkins, Jurgen Teller, Douglas Friedman and Karl Largerfeld just some of the famous names behind the camera, you can be sure that the exhibition is a fantastic homage to Esquire.

Magazine cover versions have often turned out to be some of the key iconic images from a particular period, and Esquire is no different. Muhammed Ali was captured on the cover of Esquire twice in the 1960s and Andy Warhol was snapped by Carl Fischer in 1969, posting together two legendary figures of the time from very different cultural backgrounds on the cover of the fashionable men's magazine.

To accompany the exhibition a special set of limited edition magazine featuring the different cover versions will be on sale at the Esquire Magazine Cover Versions exhibition at The Hospital Club.
