Films at The Yard

Turning a converted warehouse theatre into a pop up cinema, Films at The Yard screens both modern films and old favourites during an extended season.

Unique setting
Taking place within a warehouse that's been converted into a theatre using reclaimed materials from the nearby Olympic Park, Films at The Yard is something a little different from your average cinema experience. An on-site cafe will be serving food and drink before and after each screening, so you can make the most of your night whether you've got tickets for a rom-com or a highly charged Tarantino movie.

Film highlights
Highlights of the Films at The Yard programme include the all-time romantic classic Breakfast at Tiffany's starring Audrey Hepburn. Fans of retro '80s movies are also in for a treat, with screenings of The Lost Boys, starring a vampiric Kiefer Sutherland, as well as Tom Cruise's Top Gun, the time travelling epic Back to the Future and Labyrinth, starring David Bowie.

Pop up cinemas
The film screenings at The Yard are the latest endeavour from the team behind the Rooftop Film Club, the open air cinema on top of the Queen of Hoxton that proved hugely popular last summer. Other pop up film projects from the team have included the subterranean screenings over Christmas, as well as Valentine's films at The Round Chapel in Hackney.

The extended season of Films at The Yard takes place from Wednesday 29th February - Sunday 15th April 2012. The theatre is open from 5pm - 1am Friday - Saturday and 5pm - 12am Sunday - Thursday.
