Whats On
See below for a selection of Flora London Marathon viewpoints, for the best places to watch the London Marathon this year. If you want to get nearer to the action than watching it on television there are more than a few options to consider.

London Eye
The London Eye will be turning as usual on the day of the London Marathon and if you pick your time carefully, you could guarantee the ultimate birds-eye view of the race as the runners weave their way through the city. With a 140 metre arc the London Eye allows passengers to see 25 miles in any direction on a clear day, more than enough to track the progression of the London Marathon through its middle stages.
Nearest tube: Waterloo.
For further details and ticket information call 0870 990 8883.

Cleopatra’s Needle
Cleopatra’s Needle along the Embankment is a convenient landmark to base yourself for the London Marathon, providing somewhere distinctive to meet friends among the bustle of the crowds. Surrounding buildings also provide a suitably historic backdrop for proceedings.
Nearest tube: Embankment.

Greenwich Park
The top of the hill in Greenwich Park is the perfect place to soak up the energy and excitement of the beginning of the London Marathon. Spectators can cheer on the runners and witness an historic event, where the atmosphere promises to be electric. See world class elite runners, charity runners in full costume and everybody else, at the very start of the event.
Nearest DLR: Cutty Sark and Greenwich.

St James’s Park
Share in the glory, joy, excitement and downright relief of London Marathon participants at the end of the race, which you can watch from St James’s Park. Thousands of runners will be streaming across the finishing line and who knows, you may even witness a record or two get broken by elite runners on the day.

Nearest tube: St James's Park.

The Flora London Marathon takes place on Sunday 13th April 2008, starting at Blackheath. Spectators are advised to arrive before 9.30am and are welcome to watch the race from anywhere along the race route.
