Foodies and fans of all things gourmet will be in seventh heaven at the food festival at Hampton Court Palace. Taking place over the spring bank holiday weekend in May, the Foodies Festival features a number of events for kids, families and lovers of fine cuisine.
Food festival at Hampton Court Palace
Celebrating all things food and drink related, the food festival at Hampton Court Palace features a number of Michelin star and renowned chefs demonstrating their skills and knowledge. Last year, Jason Atherton of maze, Ed Baines of Randall & Audin Champagne and Oyster Bar and Celebrity Masterchef winner Nadia Sawalha all gave demonstrations and met fans over the weekend, and the 2011 event is expected to attract a similar calibre of special guests.
Workshops
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a gourmet chef and want to hone your skills even further, then there's a number of workshops taking place as part of the food festival at Hampton Court Palace that aim to arm you with all the tips you need to impress in the kitchen. A series of top chefs will be leading the food and drink workshops, and there are also masterclasses for aspiring young chefs too.
Family day out
Tasting tents at the Foodies Festival at Hampton Court Palace give visitors the chance to sample some of the best Champagne, chocolate, caviar and cocktails around. There will also be restaurant tents offering dishes from some of London's top food venues, and a producers' market where you can shop for fresh, seasonal food and drink.
The food festival at Hampton Court Palace runs from Saturday 28th May - Monday 30th May 2011. Opening times are 10am - 8pm Saturday, 11anm - 5pm Sunday, and 11am - 5pm Monday.
