The Free Cone Day London event is here once more as Ben and Jerry hand out their delicious ice cold treats to anyone who wants them.

Nothing gets Londoners going more than the thought of free ice cream, and with the prospect of the Free Cone Day London event coming around again for the 34th time, you can be sure to see ice cream hungry workers and shoppers waiting eagerly in the doorways of Ben and Jerrys twitchy with excitement.

We all scream for ice cream
For just a few hours, you can take part in Free Cone Day London at one of several Ben and Jerrys Scoop Shops simply by turning up and asking nicely for your free cone. A chance to get some lovely ice cream for free, try some flavours you've never tried before and enjoy a pleasant introduction to the new Fairtrade range, Free Cone Day is not to be ignored.

Free Fair Cone Day
Every year Free Cone Day invites you into the Scoop Shops for a free scoop, but 2011 is different because this year you get to sample the new Fairtrade flavours. There's Chunky Monkey, Vanilla Toffee Crunch, Fairly Nuts and the brand new Coconutterly Fair to be tried on Free Cone Day, which all contain ingredients sourced from produced in a fair and sustainable way.

Hooray for Ben and Jerrys
Hundreds of scoop shops across the UK are taking part in the free ice cream giveaway, and many of them are located in London, meaning you don't have far to travel to bag your free scoop or cone. Simply turn up between 6pm and 9pm at any of the participating London Ben and Jerrys stores, choose your ice cream, and munch away! Scoop Shops in Leicester Square are open even longer for free ice cream, from 3pm - 9pm.
