Free Fridays at Cargo

Free Fridays at Cargo are as eclectic as the club itself. Bringing East London locals and in the know money-savvy music lovers together every Friday, Cargo’s collection of free events on one of the biggest party nights of the week doesn’t offer rubbish bands and tunes nobody wants to pay for. They pull in top DJs and acts and don’t charge a penny on the door all night.

Live Acts and DJs
Although Cargo holds a lot of ticketed events throughout the week, in response to the credit crunch they introduced Free Fridays at Cargo, offering struggling East Londoners a chance to go out and catch quality acts without paying through the nose for the privilege. The acts and genres of music on offer varies from week to week, but past events have included a Beardyman Battlejam, the official after party of the Whitest Boy Alive concert and a Slutty Fringe DJ party.

Clubbing at Cargo
Cargo is a popular bar and club, nestled beneath the arches of Shoreditch’s Rivington Street. Well respected on the East London scene, Cargo has seen artists like Damon Albarn grace the stage and was officially designated as a cool spot after Banksy graffitied the wall outside. They hold regular graffiti events and showcase art from local up and coming, edgy artists. Cargo offers an eclectic range of events, covering everything from nu rave, house and dubstep to indie, ensuring it’s popular with everyone. Free Fridays at Cargo is just another feather in the cap.

Who Will I Be Partying With?
Cargo is a laid back East London haunt so you won’t find your West End glamour girls here. Instead, expect a trendsetting group of East London locals and media workers sporting an individual, laid back style. Jeans and trainers are welcome at Free Fridays at Cargo and there’s no burly bouncer, clipboard in hand, assessing your threads to see if you’re worthy to get past the red rope. Free Fridays at Cargo runs from 6pm-3am every Friday. Entry is free all night.
