Porridge extravaganza
If you think one of the best things about winter is the chance to fill up on some hot oaty goodness for breakfast, then the free porridge at South Bank giveaway should make the perfect start to your weekend. Keep an eye out for the Rude Health roller skaters outside the Giraffe Restaurant on the South Bank, who will be handing out free hot bowls of delicious porridge to oat fans.

Cook off
At the same time as the free porridge at South Bank giveaway, a cook off is also being held within Giraffe restaurant. The ten best entries from the online competition to find the best porridge recipe will be going head to head to make the best porridge based breakfast in a 20 minute cook off. Keep an eye out for unusual ingredient combinations to get some inspiration for your own cooking at home.

Porridge Prince and Princess
As well as the adult cook off and free porridge, South Bank Giraffe is also holding a five minute junior competition to find the Porridge Prince or Princess. Twelve kids can enter the competition to transform a bowl of plain porridge into a spectacular breakfast treat.
