Head to Canary Wharf on Friday 23rd May for a chance to get on board the free whisky bus! Run by Ardbeg, the Islay whisky producers, this could be one of the most spirited lunchtimes you've had in a long while.

Driving the free whisky bus around Canary Wharf, Reuters Plaza from 12pm onwards, the Ardbeg Beastie Mobile is offering lucky city types the chance to try the fantastic taste of Ardbeg. Voted the World Whisky of the Year 2008, Ardbeg is a malt whisky from the tiny island off the west coast of Scotland. A remote place with fertile soil and soft peaty water, it is and has been the perfect place for making whisky since 1815.

Having been closed for a while in the 1990s, and then reinvented and rejuvenated by Glenmorangie in 1997, Ardbeg is well and truly back on the scene and wooing peope the world over with its distinctive whisky. So if you fancy a taste, but feel that Islay is a little far to go on a lunchbreak, catch the free whisky bus as it drives around Canary Wharf and have a dram or two to celebrate the long weekend.

Not used to a liquid lunch? Fear not, to help you keep on the straight and narrow parth back to work, the free whisky bus is also providing some delicious cheese to eat while you sample the whisky. Beautifully paired to match the amber liquid, the cheese comes courtesy of La Fromagerie.

The Ardbeg Beastie mobile will be in and around Canary Wharf, Reuters Plaza from 12pm to 2pm on Fridaay 23rd May 2008.
