Went to the cake Britain event the other day here and thought the venue was amazing! Clean. White. Futuristic. Would definitely use it for events hire. Didn't see the gallery close early the day I was down, surely that's the promoters fault though not the gallery?!?

I'm really disappointed by the Cake Britain exhibition Future Gallery ran. The exhibition closed early without notice. I went all the way there, and was told they decided to let people eat the exhibition early. That means at 16:00 myself and hoards of other disappointed visitors were turned away. Very unprofessional.

It will be easier to bulletpoint the negatives
- friend got food poisoning from the scotch eggs on Sunday
- tickets never advertised as available, request to be contacted when they were never followed up
- two separate cocktails knocked over by staff and not replaced
- waited 50 minutes for a small hamper, when it did come it was the wrong order
- bar girl handing out ginger beer instead of cider
- seems like a bunch of kids with no idea running it

Avoid, go to a park instead!

Unfortunately I agree - this place is shoddily run, very bad food and they serve overpriced, awful punch. When I went, nothing on the menu that they handed to me on the way in ... was actually on offer.

No idea why a brand would sponsor such a badly organised affair- its like arriving at a student's flat. Such a shame as the premise is very exciting. I pity the poor people that arrive and expect something more than they receive. It is an experience that feels very stupid and poorly set up.

Hanging out in a park would indeed be a better option.
