I must say the standard of men in this place is fan-dabi-doozle! Too many buch men to wave my stick at! I head down here every friday, and by god I always wake up on Saturday with slightly more than a smile on my face. Wowzers

I am a gay scene virgin, and one of the reasons i am skeptical to go is because i don't know what its like. i get the facebook invites all the time, yet i don't know how to get a wristband or what the difference is between gay club, bar and late. (even on the website).

i think the promoter is absolutely rubbish at it. plus he doesn't realise how many he COULD get into the club if he thinks about people coming from afar. hearing about the bouncers problems a lot is another reason why i don't wish to go. yet i do wanna pop down there.

promoter is awful at it. he only adheres to short writing , non descriptive AND only mentions to those who seem to be there "all the time"

and states that bouncers can turn u away. a GAY club shouldn't have straight A holes on the door who cant be bothered etc. A GAY club that isn't gay friendly is a travesty, let's face it.. is it not 2010 already?

Awful! The bouncers said the venue was full when we arrived. You can clearly see that there was like virtually no one inside! I am from Montreal and G-A-Y does not know how to host clubbers! Do not waste your time!

I was thoroughly disappointed by Heaven and their discrimination against straight females, after travelling down for 3 hours all the way from Manchester with my friends for a night out there. I went with 3 of my friends last Saturday night- two of us are straight girls and the other two gay boys (one obviously gay and one straight-looking). We got there early at 10pm to avoid the massive queue, and were the 2nd group in the queue. The security staff had obviously seen us queuing for an hour by the time they opened the doors at 11pm- they'd even spoken to us when they came round to ask us to get our id ready. However, when we got to the metal detectors, us two girls were immediately told it was "regulars and members only" and turned away- despite none of us having been before! They also knew we were a group but let the boys in, which meant one of their staff had to go down to tell them to come back- did they really think we'd split up for the night!?! The boys also insisted that they weren't members or regulars just like us girls so why had they been let in and us not? We received no clear answer- the same goes for when we asked why on earth they'd not told us that it was "regulars and members only" when they'd seen us standing at the front of the queue for so long- at least then we could have gone somewhere else by a reasonable time. Whilst standing outside deciding what to do, having wasted over an hour of our evening queuing, we noticed that all of the people turned away were straight females like us- one girl was there with her gay best friend and they let him in and not her- how ridiculous! We definitely won't be going back. This kind of rude, discriminatory and inconsiderate treatment is not what we made a 3 hour journey for.

Heaven was the my very 1st gay club I went to 15 yrs ago! Fond memories and some great times had. G-a-y was all ways my next best gay club in fact up untill it moved to heaven I was attending at Least twice aweek and heaven once A week. Over the Last 8 months I have been to gay/heaven twice only due to Either money issues(we are in A Credit crunch! ) or due to the fact I live in harlow, essex and ofetn Travelling into london is and can be A nightmare. Ok, Sat 3 rd april, day before Easter! We as usual arranged A fab night into london, meal 1st, lots of champagne and then to G-a-y (heaven). It was A friends Birthday and so there For arranged to meet in G-a-y bar in Compton street For Drinks and Wrist Bands. We left and arrived at heaven B4 11 pm , we were told only regulars and MemberS only! I asked doesnt Coming For the Last 15 years mean That I am A regular? ApparentLY not! Never in my life have I or my friends been turned away like That. We all had id With us, including my daughter who is very proud and loves Seeing her old man happy! Ok so now im Wondering What the heck is going on. I Eventually got in and found it was empty inside, there was no special Artist PLaYing, in fact A wii night! A Console in Every bar?! Rubbish, What A load of **@@$$$$$***@@@ ! I left as soon as I Realised That A few of my friends couldnt get in , Again! . Website does not Mention MemberSHIP or being A regular needed to Gain entrance. What the heck is going on? I will never go back! Im going to keep my special memories and I Dont want them to be Ruined by stupid club rules and rude Door staff. Heaven- G-a-y. I hope U have A Rubbish 2010 . Al;l respectable gay folk should Abandon G-A-Y, there are better ones in london, they are Just A Bit Further to go to.

I came to GAY club today and was denied entrance because apparently I was not a regular. If the club is only open for members or regulars it would be wise to put a notice on your webpage so people dont waste their time. Your security and staffs pissed off a large no of people because of this....

Over all, rude security, rude staffs. It not worth spending money in GAY, better go to other clubs where you get better value for money.

I agree, the door supervisors attitudes were disgusting. We travelled from Newcastle & we only got in the club 1 out of 3 times we tried.

Once inside it took half an hour to get served at the bar because the bar staff (all men) were only serving men.

They glanced over a few times yet continued to serve only men coming up behind me in queue. I gave up and asked a guy 2 go to the bar for me & he got served straight away.

rude rude rude!ok i am a straight girl but it was my gay friends birthday and he wanted to go to GAY late...

they kept us waiting for ages even as people leftthey wouldnt stamp our hands so we could go outside for a cigarette, when we did they tried to accuse us of not having come out of the club

they wouldnt let us check our coats, we had to wait ages and in the meantime we were told we were in the way ok so i may not be their demographic but i paid my money like everyone else surely i dont have to pay extra for a few manners!?
