Bring out your crafty side at the Gallery Cafe knitting club, which meets every two weeks at the cosy Bethnal Green cafe.

Open to all
Free to join and open to all ages and abilities, the Gallery Cafe knitting club is perfect for those whose idea of a perfect night out is sitting around with a cup of tea while knitting and nattering with friends. The group is a mixture of absolute beginners and seasoned pros, and the more experienced knitters will be on hand to offer knitting classes and advice to those just starting out.

Knit and purl
With books and simple patterns available to browse through for inspiration, a visit to the Gallery Cafe knitting club should help to get you started on your next knitting project. Just bring along your own pair of needles and some yarn to the craft night and prepare to knit and purl away.

Tea and cake
Open to adults and young knitting fans too, the Gallery Cafe knitting club takes place within the cafe itself, with the chance to carry on socialising at a local pub afterwards. The cafe serves tea, coffee and homemade cakes to help you keep refreshed during your creative projects.

The Gallery Cafe knitting club runs from 5pm - 8pm every other Monday. Meeting dates for the beginning of 2010 are as follows:

18th January
1st February
15th February
1st March
15th March

Admission is free, and there are no age restrictions.
