See a succession of tough guys and mob bosses light up the big screen at the gangster season at Screen on the Green. The Everyman cinema in Islington is showing a series of gangster films throughout October and November 2010, including all time greats such as The Godfather and Goodfellas.

Pacino and De Niro
Many of the films in the gangster season at Screen on the Green feature two legends modern cinema, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, with Pacino starring in Carlito's Way, The Godfather, and Scarface and De Niro appearing in Mean Streets, Goodfellas and The Untouchables. Other movie stars you can expect to see on screen include Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, Sean Penn, Harvey Keitel and the late, great Marlon Brando.

Iconic genre
From troublesome dames and pinstripe suits to mountains of cocaine and dramatic gunfights, the gangster drama remains a favourite of cinema goers. The gangster season at Screen on the Green includes films from some of the genre's most celebrated directors, including Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese and Brian de Palma.

The gangster season at Screen on the Green runs on Saturdays between 9th October - 27th November 2010. Films start at 11.15pm. Standard tickets cost £11.00, with premier seats available for £13.50.
