Back once again for another colourful celebration of the gay community, Gay Sunday at London Zoo is a spectacular event full of music, live performances and plenty of entertainment.

Grand day out
For five years in a row, Gay Sunday at London Zoo has been bringing flamboyance and colour to the zoo in a special party day. Taking place on Sunday 20th September, all the usual fun and games will be in store for visitors, along with some brand new additions.

Meet the animals
Gay Sunday at London Zoo means you can meet and greet some of the cutest and most unusual of the zoo's residents and enjoy plenty of live entertainment at the Pink Picnic Lawn too. Animal feeds, demonstrations, and family workshops are all part of the programme meaning that you can spend the day exactly as you want.

Up close and personal
Explore the awesome Gorilla Kingdom and see some of the zoo's most talented inhabitants at the Animals in Action demonstrations, or see the penguins gulp down their fishy food at the Peckish Penguins event. Take time to meet the newest addition to the pride of lions and see some very, very old tortoises at the new Giants of the Galapogos enclosure; there's all the fun of the zoo and more besides with Gay Sunday at London Zoo.

Pink Picnic Lawn
And for those that want to keep the party going throughout the day, there's cocktails, a barbecue, and live entertainment galore on the Pink Picnic Lawn. There's a bar, stilt walkers, an orchestra and community stalls to keep everyone happy and entertained at the event.

Gay Sunday at London Zoo takes place from 10am - 5.30pm, Sunday 20th September 2009. If you would like to book tickets for the event, you can get 20 percent off the normal price if you book online. Alternatively, you can buy tickets on the day for £18.50 for an adult, and £15.00 for a child. For more information, click on the link below.
