Impressionistic Russian painter Gena Ivanov brings his work to London for a show at the Adonis Art gallery. He studied art at the Bobruisk Art School where he graduated with distinction and has since been firmly rooted in the art world.

Gena started painting in a co-operative in the early 90s and concentrated mainly on landscapes, which although uninspiring taught him a range of skills and gave him the chance to experiment with new techniques. He then moved onto become an interior designer to fund his painting, and dedicated his time to the male form.

The exhibition by Gena Ivanov at Adonis Art shows his inspired and romantic attitude towards his subjects, with male beauty and sexuality at the fore. Having moved to England in 2004, Gena has started to paint his naturally chosen subjects with more freedom and continues to paint in his rich oils in the Expressionist style.
