A Geri Halliwell book signing is taking place in October as the ex Spice girl promotes her brand new kids stories. Selfridges is the lucky London venue due to take part in the Geri Halliwell book signing tour, so if you are a fan of her fiction or of the girl power she espoused in the 90s, now is your chance to meet her in person.

Having left the Spice Girls back in the 1990s and caused a rift in the world's biggest and most popular girl band, Geri Halliwell has since appeared back with the other four Spices and together they captivated the world with their reuinion tour. Now back to doing what she loves best, Geri or Ginger Spice has put pen to paper to create six new children's books starring Ugenia Lavender.

Ugenia Lavender is the new kids book by Geri Halliwell that sees her heroine move from a previously exciting world of travel and adventure to a small town and a new school. Meeting new friends and coming up against all kinds of injustices which she wants to put right, ingenious Ugenia Lavender is a bright, sassy character that girls and boys from the age of six upwards will love.

A chance to meet the author and find out what all the talk is about, the Geri Halliwell book signing will introduce you and your kids to the magical world of Ugenia Lavender.

The Geri Halliwell book signing takes place at Foyles bookstore on the lower ground floor, from 2pm to 3pm on Saturday 25th October 2008. The event is free and unticketed, and you are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Ugenia Lavender is published by Macmillan Children's Books priced £6.99.
