Art, religion and controversy
In a deliberately controversial move Gilbert and George have peppered their latest works with religious imagery, probing Christianity with bold, ornate style. The artists themselves appear throughout pieces in
Sonofagod Pictures, camouflaged in luminous backdrops.
Exclusive to the White Cube
Dubbed the original
godfathers of Britart, Gilbert and George continue to shock and inspire, with works that are as intellectually challenging as they aesthetically stimulating. Modern art fans now have a chance to see their latest collection exclusively at the White Cube Gallery.
The Gilbert and George London art exhibition is being held at the White Cube Gallery in Hoxton until Saturday 25th February. Admission is free.
