Orange RockCorps
Want an extra reason to get stuck into the various good causes and volunteering opportunities in your community? Sign up to a Orange RockCorps scheme in your local area and exchange four hours of your time for some free tickets for the Give, Get Given London gig. Over 40,000 people have already donated their time to one of the volunteering projects and rocked out together at more than 20 live gigs as a reward, and the concert at the Royal Albert Hall looks set to be another high spirited occasion in the RockCorps calendar.
Volunteering projects
Whether it's cleaning rubbish from the Thames, weeding at Blenheim Gardens or clearing brambles from Burgess Park, there's plenty of opportunites to roll up your sleeves, join the other music loving volunteers and get stuck into a range of projects that will earn you tickets for the Give, Get Given London concert. Other community projects include giving children's playgrounds a spring clean, painting murals on the walls of estates, and helping to improve the conditions of schools.
The concert
The Give, Get Given London concert on Friday 24th September follows the hugely successful concert at The Apollo in Manchester earlier on in the summer. The likes of Snoop Dogg, Vampire Weekend and Tinie Tempah performed to the crowd, and the event at The Royal Albert Hall promises a similarly impressive lineup.
London gig
Acts confirmed for the gig at the Royal Albert Hall include Pendulum, Mark Ronson, N-Dubz and Taio Cruz. Even more acts will be announced in the next few days, so music fans will want to knuckle down to some serious volunteering for the chance to earn their tickets for the show.
The Give, Get Given London concert takes place at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday 24th September 2010. Tickets are free, but given on the condition that you complete four hours of volunteering at an Orange RockCorps project. For more information on how to volunteer, click on the link below.
