Globe Theatre tickets are now available for another season of fantastic theatre at one of the most iconic venues in the world. There'll be a host of the very best plays, produced as the great bard himself would have wanted, in an arena befitting his greatest works. The 2008 season looks set to be just as good, if not better, than years gone by so book your Globe Theatre tickets early to avoid disappointment.

With your Globe Theatre tickets you’ll be entering a world that was created just under five hundred years ago, and lovingly reborn in 1997, just 200 metres from the original site. Despite its relative youth, the Globe has been a huge success, partly down to it being recreated in the image of the original Globe that was destroyed by fire in 1613. Given Shakespeare’s huge influence on theatre, having a dedicated arena to showcase his works means your Globe Theatre tickets will enable you to access a very special part of theatre, and British, history.

In picking up Globe theatre tickets you’ll be seeing some of Shakespeare’s finest plays as well as some fantastic contemporary theatre from some of the best new playwrights in the world. The 2008 season will show King Lear, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Timon of Athens and The Merry Wives of Windsor, so visitors to the Globe will be treated to some of Shakespeare’s very best work. There’ll also be a Shakespeare party at the Globe Theatre, courtesy of the Footsbarn company, who will be bringing their specially conceived celebration of the man and his work to London for five very special shows.

Contemporary theatre comes in the form of The Frontline, and Liberty, two great new plays from two very talented writers, in Che Walker and Glyn Maxwell. Walker’s The Frontline is a vibrant black comedy dealing with late night Camden, showing contemporary London in an engagingly poetic way. Maxwell’s Liberty is a stunning look into life after the French Revolution, adapting the 1912 novel Les Dieux ont Soif to incredible effect.

The 2008 Globe Theatre season runs from April 23rd to October 5th 2008. To purchase Globe Theatre tickets please click the Buy Tickets button. For more information please click the link below.
