Popped in to this empty souless cave expecting some life and Latino culture/music and found 5 sad looking people stood at the bar late on a Thursday night and some horrible Rhianna bluting out to an empty dancefloor. Asked for a refund and was denied it whilst heading out 5 mins later. Don't waste your money! £7 for a rank cocktail with a single measure of alcohol in it. The only hot mix in this place are the fillers in your overpriced glass. Don't believe the(ir) hype! AVOID!
I went to Guanabara on a friday night. It was first night of Carnival celebrations, it was great !! The club was busy, we didn't book any table, but somehow me and my husband managed to get a table (sharing with few others) !! Who actually cares ?? I found the price of the caipirinha far too expensive (6.50), and the portions far too small ( 4 tiny fish cakes for 4.95) !! I would say that Guanabara as a restaurant could be a bit disappointing ! But Guanabara as a brazilian club is seriously fun !! Well I am brazilian myself, I know what the music is all about, I know my culture very well !! But for a foreigner understand all that "mix" it is fairly not expected at all. But if you are adventurous and a non judgemental chap, brave enough to put all the small politic correct details behind of you, Go and have fun ...because is what the brazilian culture is all about ! HAVE fun !!
Wow- the below reviews must either be on the wrong side of 40 or have a rather spiky stick up their ass! I’ve just returned from Brazil so booked carnival for me and some friends and I so I could celebrate my new love of all things Carioca and show off my new Forro dancing skills lol...I seriously couldn’t rave about this venue more, the girls who helped me book my table were so polite and helpful, I wanted to buy them a Caipirinha just to say thank you for being so considerate!!!!...Apart from making awesome cocktails, the barmen here are seriously HOT! If I hadn’t have been there for happy hour (which for central London, you get a seriously good deal) I would have paid the £10 entry fee just to perve on them haha ;)!..we were sat down for our food by a very happy, helpful Brazilian beauty and served by a busy, but delightful Brazilian waiter and in a timely fashion (considering how busy the restaurant was for a Friday night). The music was authentic, the acts were entertaining and if it wasn’t for the authentic London weather outside, I could have sworn I was still on the white sands of Rio. It was so good I even went the very next day for their masked ball (yet again amazing!). Regardless of the below, wide of the mark and spiteful reviews, Guanabara is exactly what it promises in the promo- genuine, Brazilian and fun! I will defiantly be spending a lot more nights here.
I just made an account just to review this place....HONESTLY WORST PLACE EVER.This is coming from a person that's open to anything, from the most posh club to the weirdest lamest bar in Camden....Me and 3 other girlfriends decided to go to Guanabara tonight, it sounded like a good place... We were expecting to go to a Latin/Brazilian place that would actually play some latin music... after all this is what they say on their website about Friday favella bloc parties..."No other night in London can you expect a tropical riot of dance sounds and an eclectic mix of global music with a Latin twist! The atmosphere is completed with special live acts alongside live percussion, Capoeira, DJ’s and our infamous Samba shows. This is the way to start any weekend!"THERE WASNT NOT EVEN 1 LATIN/BRAZILIAN SONG...THE ONLY MUSIC THAT WAS ON ALL NIGHT WAS RIHANNA, 50 CENT AND SOME SONGS THAT WERE HITS IN THE 90S. Honestly now, LAMEST PLACE EVER, don't even bother going there, -£10 to get in , £6.50 for the worst cocktails... SERIOUSLY?-Full of drunk lame people-smells like SHIT-REALLY BAD MUSIC
This place is highly overrated. Has no Latino spirit at all, it just felt like a English wanna-be Latino club. The music sucks, is very old, both the Brazilian and the normal club music that comes at 12.
I waited the whole night for something to "happen" but the boredom never left.
Take it from a Latino girl herself... DONT GO THERE!!
I have to say I don't know what some of these reviews below are going on about???? My friends and I have have been a regulars at Guanabara for nearly five years now and have always enjoyed its Brazilian theme as a venue. It really brings back memories of my time in Brazil. The warm nature of the people who go there all the time, the fun and relaxed atmosphere without the usual heavy dress codes and meat market environment most other London clubs have is what really makes Guanabara special for us. Guanabara has always been a place for good times, dancing, great Brazilian live music and reasonably priced tasty cocktails and food for my friends and I.It really upsets me that some of these reviews are slamming the live music which 'is really Brazilian' so if you are slamming the music you are basically slamming the culture. I suggest to some people perhaps they go to Guanabara with the mind that this is not an English club, serving sausage and mash and that this is not just a club night but a cultural experience, that is as close to Brazil as you will get outside of Brazil. To me it shows a real display of ignorance to the experience you are going to and for people who like club music after the live music at around midnight they play your commercial music better than any London club I have been to. For other people please don't be put off by these reviews, when you go to Guanabara the Brazilian staff and most of all regulars make it an unforgettable experience especially on Sundays (my favorite night and the Brazilian night:) ) where complete strangers drag you to the dance floor and teach you how to dance Forro to get everyone involved in the dancing! Its a great laugh and I will continue to support Guanabara for years to come! Love it.
Booked for 8:30 on a Friday evening. The table was not ready when we arrived so waited 20 minutes, despite the venue emphasising that customers arriving 15 minutes after their allocated time will lose their table.Another 20 minutes until the waiter bothered to take our orders, and then only because we grabbed him as he went past. The entire evening consisted of us on the lookout, ready to take advantage of the rare moment when the waiter came anywhere near our table. Drinks and starter finally arrived after another 40 minutes. Mains 30 minutes after that. Just to sum that up - it took 80 MINUTES from walking in the door to receiving our meals! The food was bland compared to Brazilian offerings elsewhere, distinctly average. The waiter had the nerve to add a 12.5% service charge to the bill which we immediately had removed. At no point did any of the staff apologise or offer any deductions for the awful service and huge delays. All around us we could hear other customers complaining about the length of time they had been made to wait throughout their evenings. There is a plethora of high-quality, reasonably priced restaurants in the area. Avoid this place at all costs!
I purchased a voucher for about £25 which entitled my girlfriend and I for a three course meal and cocktail each. This sounded like a pretty damn good deal until we got to the restaurant. Our first impression was bad as was a hassling with the bouncer who appeared to have started drinking, (night still young at 7:30pm), although I may have just mistaken this for his sub-normal IQ level. He gave us a round of 20 questions before we finally were allowed upstairs to a dull walkway lit by what appeared to be a one very dim bulb which nicely resembled the security we had just passed.
Once inside the restaurant we waited for a waiter to sit us at a table. Boy did we wait. And wait. Finally I approached a waiter who was as occupied than an ASLEF member on boxing day. The comedian told us to "wait" while he cleared a table before sitting us by another already cleared table. Brilliant!
Thank God menus were already on the table as the last train was at half 12. The set menu had about 3 options for each course and we made up our minds after a couple of minutes. Service came several minutes later. Of course we tried to wave over a couple of waiters without being rude but they were as observant to customers as moles are to stars. After ordering, a pattern was broken as the cocktails and food was brought to the table within half an hour.
But... BOOM came the random really poor Brazilian music. It was one man bellowing the lines "Ba ba ba, da da da, cha cha cha" about one thousand billion times. However, his fellow musicians were extremely talented. All 4 of them shook their tambourines very well. The guitarist was the best through. He could strike 1 out of 2 of his chords very very well!
The food was okay (5/10) and fortunately for me my girlfriend is a surprisingly quick eater so we were out of the restaurant by 9:30. God knows where the bouncer had gone off to because we were just approached by 3 predatory cab drivers in the pissing rain but I think I'd rather be ou
Don't believe the hype about Guanabara. You walk up the stairs and it looks like a downmarket wedding while the inside looks like a student bar. The food staff were very disorganized: they took my friends' orders, then waitress said she would come back to take the rest. Because it took them so long to process the orders, my friends ended up going to the (very crowded) bar to get their drinks.
They cram in people to eat while drinkers crowd around them. I was seated next to the kitchen area exit & because they packed so many tables in the dining area, they didn't have much space to come out with the dishes because the benches were so close together. Drinks & food are pretty expensive (but the food was ok).
It's not the worst place I've been to...but it comes close.
I went to Guanabara for the first time on a Saturday night with my sister. The atmosphere was great from the moment we got there and the place was buzzing by 8.00pm. We tried one of the platters, it was huge and delicious. The cocktails were great and my sister said she hadn't had such a good caipirinha since her trip to Brazil and is now considering having her Hen's night at Guanabara. We also enjoyed the live drumming. For a good night out with friends I would recommend Guanabara.
IT'S NOT A RESTAURANT!Don't be fooled. This place *could* become the stuff of legend, like Saturday's at The Jazz Cafe used to be before they gave in and become a w***y 80s night!Their biggest problem is that clearly upper management is only looking at the bottom line, so they over-stuff the venue. Cut numbers by 20% and it would be ideal, as it is you can't move, you have to practically wait in line for the dancefloor and the table staff simply can't cope.I accept that we had to pre-order our set menu for a party of 12, that's pretty normal, but if so, they shouldn't get 3 items wrong (that's 25% fail rate, if you think about it) Not that it mattered, despite appealing names and descriptions the food was bland and uninspiring. Hot n Spicy Chicken Wings were exactly that. Hot, spicy, but utterly flavourless, which I suppose is actually quite an achievement. I'm not even sure how that's possible!!Also, we had a set time to arrive with a set menu for a set number, all of which was confirmed just a couple of hours before arrival, yet we still had to wait over an hour and a half for the first course to arrive. What's more, what they called seating for 12 was seating for about 8, just REALLY squeezed in to add the rest.So the eating experience was a total wash-out. What DID work was the bar service - despite a room that was jam packed (which mixed with all the food and an inadequate air con system smells creates a HORRID wall of hot, clammy, stale air as you walk in) they were friendly, speedy and most of all made great cocktails. I rarely had to queue for any excessive length of time. Also, the music and performances were spot on and great fun. It was chilled Brazilian beats with easy hip hop to start, building into up tempo soulful and disco house, interspersed with carnival dancers and capoeira performers, before finally, around 11, dropping into the bog-standard commerical house routine that (sadly) all bars have to adhere to, to retain the mod
This is a terrible restaurant. It is really more a room trying to be a club, with a few tables thrown to the side of the club where they serve very bad food. The meal was inedible and when we returned the food because there was a problem with it, the waitress never returned.
I can't believe I've only just discovered this place! My husband and I went to see War horse, which is located next to guanabara. When we walked out of the theater, there was a line outside for the club, but not too many so we decided to give it a go. The venue itself is quite maze-like, we walked upstairs and found ourselves in a party! Everybody was dancing and having a good time. The staff were all very pleasant, and they made us feel welcome and served us as fast as they could, which took a little while. We found ourselves a bar table and ordered some bar snacks which were a little slow coming out, but considering the sheer amount of people in the place I'm not surprised! The food was nice but the cocktails were fab, we could have easily gotten carried away with them ourselves! The music is a little too loud to talk comfortably (but maybe we’re just too old for it), so we just chilled out and enjoyed the vibe. Considering we weren't planning a big night - we ended up staying past 12am (that's late for us oldies!!!!) We will definitely be back.
My friends and I went out for a well-earned girls night out. My sister had found this Goupon deal, so 6 of us booked this option in advance and a few more girlies would arrive after dinner. We wanted to eat at 7pm, however when we phoned to book a table we were told that the voucher was only valid past 8pm and had to be used in that bar area. It takes more than a time-change to put us off - so we accepted this reservation. It was only when we arrived that we found out that anybody arriving past 9pm had to pay £10 entry! so after a few frantic phonecalls, we managed to get all girls in before 9pm - an essential piece of info for anybody planning to come here!Be warned... the cocktails are lethal - make sure to pace yourself! The food was great, the atmosphere was second to none and the music was bangin! (do the kids still use that word?!)We danced what felt like all night, the band kept the tempo going and the waitress kept the drinks coming. There aren't many places that you can stay all night and feel completely entertained - cocktails, dinner, dancing and live music. Amazing night that will be hard to top.
The thing is, if you go here, don't go thinking of it as a restaurant. It is a bit canteenish, the food is overpriced considering that it is quite obviously heated in microwave. Also as a Brazilian myself i can say that the food that comes out is not what is described on the menu on many dishes. Stick to snacks if you're peckish in here.
The waitress we had was really rude, when we asked for our drinks and food it seemed like a chore, and her expression and tone read as what do you want now? We payed for our first round of drinks and food, and it being a Sunday should've been 50% off something she had "forgotten" apparently and we reminded her. We were determined to stay as had all been here before and had good times, so we order another round of drinks. This time about 10 minutes in she comes over to our table saying we have to pay now, this was the quickest she ever came to us the whole night.
After that when the music really got going it was a brilliant night, plenty of people to dance with and great vibe. Band on Sundays amazing.
So to go and dance, brilliant fun, but anything else and AVOID like plague
We was at Guanabara last Friday for the Carnival celebrations, was packed. Great atmosphere, loads of people up for a party. If you want to go to a club where people are unpretentious unlike a lot of places in central London then this is the place.
Me and a bunch of friends went to Guanabaraon a friday and i can honestly say it the most fun we've had in a long time. The place sets itself apart from the standard bars and clubs you find in the area with a unique vibe and music which really sets the tone.
We got in for free as we arrived before 9 pm and were greeted by a Rio'esque atmosphere which immidiately got you in the mood for drinking and dancing. As for the music it was awsome. After the capoira guys and carnival dancers came on there was a band which played music till 1am.
As for the crowd they were friendly and down to earth, nothing like the overly pretentious people you find in such establishments nearby.
All in all a wicked night out. Gets a two thumbs up form me.
All in all we had a great time, everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. the dancers were fab and the music was really good.
it was extremely busy so the atmosphere was good but the food a little slow coming out but then again it was the later sitting and the waitresses were rushing about. Having said that they did an excellent job and made sure they kept coming back to see if we needed anything else. we could order drinks from them as well which was handy especially during the entertainment. the live band was really fun, all in all we had a great party, would really recommend Guanabara for a chilled out and fun Christmas party!
Went to Guanabara on saturday night for my joint birthday with a friend. We had a table booked for dinner and the service was very good and the food came quickly although on a couple of occasions the drinks orders were confused and we had to wait a while. The food was great though and the entertainment was fab. Also some really great cocktails. The clipboard lady who seated people was a bit rude to us as we had to wait for friends to come back for their drinks from the cloakroom before we vacated the table. She came over to 'remind us' of the time but it wasn't in a friendly manner and the next people didn't arrive till an hour later by which point we were already on the dancefloor! All the other staff were great though. The entertainment was fab and we loved that they mixed up the latin music with a bit of r&b/hip-hop. Would definitely recommend!
I had my send off at Guanabara last year before going travelling and came back last week for the first time in a few years and totally remember why I loved it so much! It is really just the best place in london for a good atmosphere and dancing! It is so nice to have a place where you get live music, entertainment and the usual dj thing in one night. We pre-booked a table for dinner (i was really missing all the lovely brazilian food!) and it was just lovely, after a couple of drinks I really thought I was back in Rio! Our friends who were coming down later got on the queue jump which I dont think they used to do but I am really pleased they started as there was a bit of a queue they said. I love Guanabara, reminds me of my more youthful days and travelling but still a place that welcomes all sorts of different people, really friendly place in London!
We made the mistake of not booking a table, don't be fooled, this place gets packed from Thursdays onwards so if you want to have food make sure you book in advance. There were no tables available but we did get to order snacks in the bar, had a platter between 3 of us which was more than enough, really good meat and other Brazilian style snacks that I had never tried before but that really did the trick. This place is really good for its own cocktails, it is something quite different which was great, don't worry about being adventurous and going for a cocktail you might not have tried before Lychee love box and Perfect Jacks went down particularly well with us. Had a few more friends come down later and luckily they put themselves down for the queue jump. It does get very busy and a queue does start to form so the queue jump was a god send for them! Staff were really helpful in helping us decide what drinks to go for and seemed to genuinely care if we liked them or not so that was a nice touch and something you don't really see that much in a lot of West End clubs days. Generally I think Guanabara is good value for money, a chilled out place just about having a good time, really good laugh. I have actually booked a table for dinner this weekend, if the platters are anything to go by, it should be great food and having a table will be a plus! Also a good laugh seeing pictures up on facebook! Saves you taking your camera!
I went down on Thursday night with a group from work, had a meal and ended up staying on til late....the late happy hour made all the difference! Was originally going for a team meal but ended up having so much fun, the music was wicked, really cool beats with a latin vibe but not the cheesy stuff you get elsewhere! The capoeira show was a definite plus and a bit of a surprise, really got things going though which was fantastic! They will be seeing a lot more of me!
DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE
Been here before, and have had a great night when going for dancing and atmosphere has been good as well. Security seemed reasonable and good natured as well. And would have recommend, however second visit was so appalling that this place deserves no stars whatsoever. Our mistake was trying to eat here; when we arrived despite pre-booking there was not enough room for our group to sit down. We tried to make the best of it and so some of us seated ourselves o the edge of the stage. Admittedly this was a large group of 20 but the management were well aware of this when we booked. The waitress didn’t seem to know what she was doing, incapable of dealing with simple drinks orders and after it took two and a half hours for the food to arrive she had not bought out too few meals. Mistakes happen, so we asked if we could speak to the manager to rectify it. This took another 45 minutes; he was then rude and accused of us of lying and threatened to call the police. However, when invited to call the police by us he then declined. All in all, over three hours wasted and many of us went home hungry. The meals that did arrive were not worth the money in any case- in short avoid eating here at all costs.
Awful experience here, we booked a table in advance and arrived to find the table did not fit us all on. We were informed there was nothing that could be done and so people had to sit on the floor / stage wherever they could. We complained and it took 2 hours for management to come and then they told us we were lying and had more people than we booked for. The food order was taken after being there 1 hour and a half and the food took a further hour to arrive luke warm and with many dishes were missing or wrong which when we complained were again told we were lying. When I suggested that they counted us or the food plates to check the order to prove who was lying they refused along with refusing to give any complaints procedure. Incompetent staff ruined the night will never go again.
Went to Guanabara for the Brazil vs. North Korea match and had a wicked night! The atmosphere was pumping, it was completely packed yet I still managed to get a good view since big screens are showing the match all around the bar! Can't wait to go back for the next match on Sunday! Vamos Brasil!
Was at Guanabara over the bank holiday weekend and had a great time. Despite being very busy the atmosphere was still very good, very friendly. We didn't book but asked for a table in case of a cancellation and the hostess managed to accommodate us which was great! Food was fantastic and the service was very good, the waitress did her utmost to make everything run smoothly. All in all had a great night, good music, food and entertainment, am definitely going back again next week!
I went here with my partner after winning a dinner voucher with work.
I was definitely not disappointed.
Our waiter served about 4 tables altogether so that felt quite personal, the menu had a good choice to suit a variety of tastes. Meat, fish, veggies.
Overall I was very impressed with this restaurant, the food is brilliantly cooked, the wines are very palatable and the music and dance shows adds to the experience.
I would definitely come back here!
Great Vibe!
I have only been to Guanabara Club once, but I can't wait to go again. From the outside, you barely know it is there ... but brewing beneath the ground is a friendly scene where people just enjoy the music with little pretension.
The music was fantastic. It started with a wicked funk, free form jazz band. Later the DJs came out with some classics.
The best part of it all seemed that everyone was welcome and no-one was there to impress. Very cool.
BTW ... all ages seemed to be welcome and comfortable not just a bar for the 18-20s
Very good night out loved it. We booked in on the 50% discount the food was very good value as was the Happy hour the bar was very busy with people dancing on the tables all night long very fun night out keep up the good work
I was at Guanabara last night, for most part of the evening and was quite enjoying myself until I came back in with a friend that had just arrived from another bar to join us. He was allowed in by the doormen but then all of a sudden after he tried to leave his coat in the cloakroom the manager decided he was "intoxicated" and forced him to leave.
Looks like there's not enough action at Guanabara on week nights so staff start picking on people who are behaving themselves and just having some fun. Ruined the end of our night.
Not slagging off the doormen - the one who was called to "remove" us looked as confused as we did as to why his manager had given him these instructions!
Not a great experience on the eating front.
Its more a club then a restaurant and so the staff aren't very good with the food. 2 girls running about like headless chickens have no time if you want to ask a question. They just throw the menu or bill down on the table and scurry off to another table.
Seats were dirty myself and my friend have 2 get our trousers dry cleaned because of chewing gum on his trousers and god only knows on mine.
Not a great experience, wish i never went for food now, because the place as a club was good.
My fiance was coming back and I wanted to take her out to some place interesting so I've booked a table in Guanabara for Sat. The thought was simple, to enjoy a dinner and listen to some good Brazilian sound. It is shame, but we haven't got to the point of eating or even drinking, to say the truth we haven't even order anything at all as NO ONE WAS EVEN BOTHERED TO GIVE US MENU !!! We arrived to the venue, no one greeted us, so we came to the bar and asked for our table. We been pointed to the waitressses standing next to the bar watching bartenders making cocktails. Both waitresses and bartenders completely ignored us for few minutes. I've noticed another member of staff next to the till (Not sure how big was the order, as I work in similar environment and know how the tills are operated, we've spent 4 minutes in 1.5 yards from her before she looked up to notice us. She showed to us the entrance, apparently there was a hostess, so we had to go back where we started unpleasant experience.
After few minutes of searching for my reservation in her papers she showed us to our table and made it quite clear to us that we have less than hour to enjoy, after we can be asked to leave as there is another booking. And confidently said that I was made aware of it when I booked the table! Here's a copy of confirmation: Dear *,Thank you for booking at Guanabara. We are pleased to confirm your a la carte Dinner booking on Saturday * March 2010 for * people at * We will be seating you in the Restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you and if we can be of further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us. As you can see there's nothing about us having to leave by 8:30, as I wouldn't even go there then. Anyway after 20 minutes of waiting I approached waitres and asked for the menu, 8 min later we stood up and left, while leaving I've spotted same waitress still with no menus in hands but with surprised look why we are leaving. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND IT TO ANY ONE
Nicely located in Covent Garden. This is not your typical looking club from the outside. The venue is large with a simple layout, there are quite a lot of medium sized tables & benches surrounding the main dancfloor. The cocktails there are very nice and the cost of drinks is your usual central london prices. This place usually gets packed due to early visitors for dinner & drinks and so later party-goers will have to queue up for 15-30 mins. Bar staff & floor staff usualy very occupied so service is on the downside. Live performances and/or DJs are usually very good. Music-wise don't expect your most up-to-date chart music or the typical R&B & Hip-Hop. This is a salsa place that just know how to throw a fiesta.
I went along the other night with my best friend Steve. It was not too busy, yet at the same did not lack atmosphere.
There was a live singer called Katia B with a live band from Brazil. Their music was fairly low tempo and soulful which was a great accompaniment to the selection of foreign beers and cocktails.
An excellent way to spend a Tuesday night!
Best night here is Thursday.Don't be fooled into thinking Fri and Sat nights are best as it does get very very busy and the dancefloor gets way too cramped for my liking!
Go midweek any night and they do free samba classes, and we even got free cocktails from people in the street giving out flyers! and it's free to get in! result!
It was very chaotic and extremely loud (not so much with music as we would have expected, but with a cacophony of irritating background noise).
The bar staff were arrogant. I turned my back and got my bottle of wine thrown away.
Later on, three or four of us in our group had another round of drinks cleared away by our slower- than- average waitress and at that point, we just lost the will to continue the night any further.
When drinks cost 7 quid a pop and keep getting thrown away, it gets really old after a while…
That aside, it’s probably a good place if you're the type of person who downs a drink and hits the dance floor immediately, but then, even the dance floor is small.
Food was nice, but was expensive considering the sloppy service and noisy school canteen ambiance.
Ganabara is a great venue to take people for a different experience of a London night out.
I took some clients here for a night out and everyone really enjoyed themselves; the live music, the dancing, the atmosphere.
We had no problems with the staff, we found them to be most friendly and helpful, and we will defintely be recommending the venue for future company events.
Well, what can I say! Guanabara is a great place for a good night out. I’d never been before and was surprised by the friendliness of the people.
We had a fantastic night. It’s a great place where people are genuinely friendly and talk to each other which is kind of rare in most bars and clubs.
The bar staff have a great sense of humour and the atmosphere is electrical. A night out is what you make it.
Even though my friends and I had a brilliant time, the music, band, energy, atmosphere, the people, the staff really made it for us. Our fun night out was a fantastic one.
It’s definitely NOT one of those pretentious places where peoples’ egos don’t even fit through the door (people here are sociable, down to earth, genuinely nice and a laugh!)
Even the bouncers found it hard to not crack a smile through the night! And the manager’s a real down to earth, genuinely nice guy. I’ll definitely go back again.
The music keeps you dancing all night, not because there’s no where to sit down but because of the atmosphere and vibrancy of the place, it’s so contagious you end up soaking it all up like everyone else. ENJOY!
Went after work on Friday with a few mates and had a great time.
Had a bite to eat when we got there, found the service to be reasonable - not great but OK.
The staff were friendly enough, prices were reasonable as it was happy hour for the early part of the evening.
The food was a bit better than averge but nothing to shout about. The best thing was the music and atmosphere.
A nice vibe, good music and I really enjoyed the band that was playing. Had to leave to get the last tube home and I could have stayed longer.
My only gripe was that it got so packed on the dancefloor that it was hard to move at one point. Will definitely go again.
Great Place for a night out in London. A bit of Brazilian fun, love the Capirihnas! Lively and friendly amosphere, you can have some great food, and reasonably priced drinks considering the location, chill out with friends and dance when you've had too many! Only problem was the queue to get in but thats always a good sign!
