Celebrating the 100th birthday of the King of Gypsy Swing, Django Reinhardt, the Gypsy Swing Guitar Festival London event takes place over nine consecutive nights at Le QuecumBar in Battersea.

Swinging music
Featuring some of the finest Gypsy swing and jazz performers around, the Gypsy Swing Guitar Festival London event celebrates the best in the genre of music established by legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt. The festival opens with a special performance by David Reinhardt, Django's 24 year old grandson and a talented jazz solo guitarist in his own right.

Special appearances
Many of the performers at the Gypsy Swing Guitar Festival London event are appearing in the UK for the first time, giving fans of jazz and swing in the city a rare chance to see some of Europe's best musicians live. Acts playing at the festival include Fleur De Paris from the UK, Les Doigts de l'Homme from France, Biel Ballester Trio from Spain, Ritary Gaguenetti from France and Gipsy Connection from Germany.

Gypsy swing venue
The nine day Gypsy Swing Guitar Festival London event takes place at Le QuecumBar and Brasserie, one of the few London venues to reqularly showcase live performances from the Gypsy swing genre. With seating for up to 35 people and a 1930s style atmosphere, Le QuecumBar should provide a stylish and intimate venue for listening to the hot musical talent on stage.

Guitar workshops
As well as all the live performances on offer, there's also the chance for guitarists to get to grips with Gypsy swing at a series of special workshops and jamming sessions. The workshops continue the tradition of passing Gypsy music on be ear alone, and are an essential introduction to this style of music for aspiring guitarists.
