Half Term at London Wetland Centre

There is plenty of fun to be had during half term at London Wetland Centre with loads of activities and events for kids. Children will be delighted to take part in the events that will teach them all about the different wildlife, animals and plant species to be found in the wetlands.

Half term at London Wetland Centre
There will be plenty of hands on activities at the London Wetland Centre over half term to get kids thinking about wetlands across the world. Children can also discover some of the slimy creatures in the London wetlands and learn more about the different kinds of birds that can be found in the reserve, with activities such as pond dipping and worm charming.

Big Batty Walk
Kickstaring the events for half term at London Wetland Centre will be the special Big Batty Walks, on Thursday 21st May and Thursday 28th May 2009. Suitable for adults and children over the age of eight, the events include a talk by a bat expert, and then a walk around the wild reserve to try to see and hear some of the nine recorded bat species on the wetlands. The events cost £10.00 to attend and starts at 8.20pm; booking is essential

Half term at the London Wetland Centre starts on Saturday 23rd May 2009. Admission to the centre costs £9.50 for adults, £5.25 for children aged 4 -16, and is free to children under 4.
