Half Term at London Zoo

This half term at London Zoo, Halloween is all the rage with a special Hide n Freak series of events. Kids can find out all about the ways in which animals camouflage themselves for protection in the wild, and see just different animals can disguise themselves.

Animals in disguise
Just as kids dress up in disguise for Halloween parties, animals use camouflage to protect themselves from predators or help them catch prey. Whether its stripes on a zebra, spots on a ladybird, colour changing cameleons or foliage resembling stick insects, animals know how to dress.

Megabugs Parade
Along with a chance to witness the giant insects as they march around the zoo throughout half term at London Zoo, kids and family will be able to meet a Praying Mantis face to face, and more amazing creatures in the Megabugs session. If your anklebiters are seriously into their creepy crawlies they will love the chance to get up close to the bugs and hear all about them from the London Zoo staff.

Stories for all
After the excitement of the Megabugs, some fun storytelling will take place in the giant teepee with a special Halloween theme. But don't get too comfy, as you will be the star attraction in this interactive storytime session.

Along with all the other fun taking place during half term at London Zoo, there is also the chance to see two Halloween Animals in Action shows, a gorilla talk and catch the penguins eating their lunch.
