Children can also learn about landmarks around the city to be used in an Olympics poster, and hear the history of animal war heroes. There is also the chance to see the current exhibition during half term at Museum of London, Weather Permitting, which explores the story of London's changing climate.

From making sun catchers and windmills, to hearing about the history of London's floods and the future effect of climate change on the city, there is plenty to get involved in. Children can also learn about weather around the world and see how the Met Office predict shifts in the weather and how they know when the sun will shine. Ending with brilliantly imaginative look at the Frost Fairs of the 16th century, half term at Museum of London is sure to be great fun for kids aged three and up.
